A wonderful and special vase.  Unique textured glaze with gold and silver leaf.
Firstly the design is hand painted onto a bisque vase using underglaze.  Next the canopy of leaves is painted with a thick textured crawly crackle glaze.  I then hand paint a transparent glaze all over . It is then fired to 1260 degs . When cool tubing is added and fired again but at a lower temperature. Finally the gold and copper leaf is applied to the canopy of leaves . This involves a sticky fixative a very soft brush and a lot of patience.  When applied it needs to dry for a day or so. It can then be buffed to a lovely shine sealed and ready to be used for flowers or displayed as a collectable unique piece of art pottery.
